GAZA, November 6, 2024 (WAFA) – Medical sources announced today that a number of wounded people in Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip lost their lives due to the lack of surgical specialists. In addition, most of the wounded arrive at the hospital on foot, as there is not a single ambulance in the northern Gaza Strip.
The sources told WAFA that the Israeli occupation army detained most of the medical staff 10 days ago, and only two doctors and some nurses are still on duty.
They pointed out that many of the wounded people are dying in the streets because they are unable to reach the hospital.
The sources added that a number of children and medical staff were injured yesterday and the day before yesterday as a result of the Israeli occupation army's direct and random bombing of buildings affiliated with the hospital.
They pointed out that despite the appeals made by the hospital administration to the world and international and humanitarian institutions, they did not receive any response.
The Israeli occupation forces continue the aggression and crimes of genocide in the northern Gaza Strip governorate, for the 33rd consecutive day, through intensive land and air bombardment, and a tight siege that prevents the entry of food, water and medicine to force citizens to flee south.
During the 33 days, the aggression on the northern governorate killed about 1000 people and left hundreds of wounded and detainees, as well as destruction of entire residential neighborhoods and the displacement of thousands of citizens south.
The Israeli occupation forces are still preventing medical teams from reaching the injured in the northern Gaza Strip to provide them with medical assistance, in light of the suspension of health services, civil defense, ambulance and emergency services.
