RAMALLAH, November 3, 2024 (WAFA) – Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa received on Sunday a delegation from the European Parliament in his office in Ramallah where he briefed them on the latest developments in the Palestinian territories, in light of the ongoing war of extermination against Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, and the escalation of attacks by the occupation army and colonists in the West Bank, including Jerusalem.
Mustafa stressed the importance of the European Parliament's support for the international coalition to implement the two-state solution, and to implement the General Assembly's decision regarding the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice to end the occupation within a specific period of time, and to embody the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
The Prime Minister called on the European Parliament to take further practical steps and measures against colonists, which is a violation of international law and a major obstacle to the implementation of the two-state solution.
Mustafa also called for the necessity of confronting Israel's decision to ban UNRWA, which aims politically to eliminate the right of Palestinian refugees to return, and also contributes to the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in the Palestinian territories, especially in the Gaza Strip, where more than 70% of the population are refugees, as UNRWA is responsible for providing services in refugee camps, and is also the entity that carries out the largest part of the relief and humanitarian aspect in the Strip in light of the ongoing war of extermination.
The Prime Minister pointed out that in addition to the war of extermination against Palestinian people, Israel is waging a financial war against us, and continues its illegal deductions from Palestinian tax revenues.
Mustafa appreciated the European support provided to Palestine and the Palestinian cause at all levels, stressing the importance of strengthening partnership and cooperation with the Parliament and the European Union at all levels.
