HEBRON, October 7, 2024 (WAFA) - A Palestinian activist has been killed after he was severely beaten by Israeli occupation forces in the town of Dura, south of the occupied West Bank city of Hebron.
Security sources confirmed that Ziad Abu Hleil, 66, died after being violently assaulted by the Israeli occupation forces during the storming of his home in Dura.
The sources reported that the occupation forces stormed his home in the early hours of Monday morning and severely beat him until he lost consciousness.
According to the sources, Abu Hleil was transferred to Dura Hospital for treatment, but the medical staff pronounced him dead due to his wounds.
Abu Hleil is a well-known tribal figure. He was known for confronting the occupation and was injured dozens of times on different occasions.
The news of his killing sparked anger among Palestinians and those who knew him.
