RAMALLAH, October 4, 2024 (WAFA) – The Palestinian government has urgently appealed to the international community and humanitarian and human rights organizations to intervene and halt the daily atrocities committed by Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinian people.

This call comes in light of the recent Israeli massacre in the Tulkarm refugee camp, north of the occupied West Bank, that resulted in the murder of 18 civilians and left dozens injured.

In a statement, the government emphasized, “At a time when the majority of the world voted in favor of the UN General Assembly resolution adopting the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice calling for an end to the occupation within 12 months, this massacre highlights Israel’s disregard for international resolutions and its operation as an entity above the law.”

The government underscored that it will continue its efforts to expose the crimes of the occupation on the international stage and seek accountability for Israel's escalating actions.

It also reaffirmed that threats and measures by the Israeli occupation aimed at undermining Palestinian institutions will not deter its commitment to establishing a fully sovereign Palestinian state and the right of its people to freedom and self-determination.
