JENIN, Saturday, August 31, 2024 (WAFA) – The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Saturday evening said that it evacuated patients from Jenin Government Hospital in the northern occupied West Bank city of Jenin.
PRCS said in a brief statement that its crews were evacuating emergency cases from the hospital to Al-Razi Hospital due to power outage.
The Israeli occupation forces continue to besiege the hospital for the fourth consecutive day, causing the hospital to run out of water and a power outage following the destruction of the main power lines.
This week, the Israeli occupation forces launched its largest offensive on the occupied West Bank since the Second Intifada, attacking three cities - Jenin, Tulkarm and Tubas - from land and air and killing at least 17 Palestinians.
Military bulldozers ploughed into critical infrastructure, cutting off communications and resources from several Palestinian cities and refugee camps.
This is the latest move in a broader Israeli offensive, marked by almost daily arrests and killings, in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem since the onset of the Israeli genocidal aggression on Gaza on 7 October 2023, which resulted in the killing at least 40,691 Palestinians and injuring over 94,060 others.
