RAMALLAH, August 31, 2024 (WAFA) - The Palestinian government has warned of the severe consequences of the ongoing siege imposed by Israeli occupation forces on hospitals in the city of Jenin. 

This blockade has led to the shutdown of several hospital departments and poses a severe risk to the lives of patients, particularly those undergoing dialysis. 

The government warned also that the situation is critical both for patients currently in hospitals and for those prevented from accessing emergency and dialysis services due to the Israeli blockade.

The government called on international health organizations, the Red Cross, and various United Nations bodies to urgently travel to Jenin to exert pressure to lift the blockade on hospitals and address the disruption to ambulance services and medical staff operations.

Additionally, the government condemned the Israeli right-wing government's plans targeting refugee camps and the troubling calls from some of its leaders for the displacement of Palestinian citizens. 

The government urged the international community to take serious action to increase pressure on the occupation authorities to stop the aggression on the Palestinian people.
