RAMALLAH, Saturday, August 11, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces have conducted a series of detentions since yesterday evening until this morning, detaining at least 40 individuals from the West Bank, including former prisoners.
In a joint statement, the Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) and the Authority of the Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners disclosed that the detentions took place across the occupied West Bank.
The statement explained that ongoing Israeli incursions involve widespread raids, severe beatings, threats against detainees and their families, as well as instances of property destruction and sabotage in civilian homes.
According to the statement, since October 7th, the number of Palestinians detained by Israeli troops has exceeded 10,000, including those taken from their homes, at military checkpoints, individuals who surrendered under pressure, and those held as hostages.
