GAZA, Thursday, August 8, 2024 (WAFA) — At least 32 civilians were killed today when Israeli warplanes bombed two schools housing displaced families in eastern Gaza City, as well as several homes in Khan Younis and the central Gaza Strip, according to local and medical sources.

In Gaza City, Israeli fighter jets attacked with multiple missiles the Abdul Fattah Hamoud School and the Al-Zahra School, killing at least 15 innocent civilians, including children, and injuring others. Both schools have been turned into shelters for dozens of families displaced as a result of the ongoing Israeli genocide.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that the casualties, including several critically injured individuals, were transported to the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza City in the aftermath of the deadly massacre.

Simultaneously, rescue workers reported recovering eight bodies following an Israeli airstrike which targeted a house in the Bureij refugee camp, central Gaza, and six more from a home east of the town of Qarara in Khan Younis province.

Additionally, three more individuals were confirmed killed following an Israeli airstrike on a group of civilians in the Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.

The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 7, 2023, has so far resulted in 39,699 documented Palestinian fatalities, mostly women and children, in addition to 91,722 injuries. Thousands of victims remain trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.
