JENIN, Wednesday, August 7, 2024 (WAFA) – A young man dawn on Wednesday died due to wounds he sustained yesterday when the Israeli occupation forces bombed a vehicle in the eastern neighborhood of Jenin.
Director of Jenin Governmental Hospital Wissam Bakr told WAFA that Mohammad Ali Abu Hijab was pronounced dead in Rafidia Hospital in Nablus due to his critical injuries.
In the city of Jenin, five young men were killed yesterday and identified as Ahmad Hussam al-Saadi, Ayham Hassan Jabr Zakarneh, Khattab Majd Badawiya, siblings Saif and Omar Ali Mahmoud "al-Zaim" Abu Ubaid, who were killed in two bombings by the occupation forces during the assault on the city of Jenin and its camp.
Walid Jamal Muhammad Hussein, 33, and Khader Hussein Khader Abu Qatna, 33, were killed by the Israeli occupation forces after they were besieged in a house in the village of Kafr Qud, south of Jenin.
The Fatah Movement in Jenin city, and the factions of the national action mourned Abu Hijab, and said that he would be laid to rest afternoon prayers from the Grand Mosque.
A general strike called for by the factions was declared today in Jenin to denounce Israel's killing of the youths and the crimes of the Israeli occupation against Palestinians people.
With the killing of Abu Hijab, the number of slain Palestinians in the West Bank since October 7th has risen to 616, including 144 children, in addition to more than 5400 others injured.
