BRUSSELS, Monday, August 5, 2024 (WAFA) – The European Union has expressed "grave concern" over Israel's continued destruction of infrastructure in the Gaza Strip.

In a statement released today EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, condemned the ongoing destruction of civilian infrastructure and the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza. 

Borrell highlighted that the EU is "extremely concerned" about Israel's relentless damage to critical civilian infrastructure in Gaza, including a water treatment plant in Rafah. 

He pointed out that the worsening humanitarian crisis is exacerbating the spread of epidemics and infections among civilians, particularly children.
