GAZA, Friday, July 26, 2024 (WAFA) - The Israeli occupation continued - on the 294th consecutive day - its land, sea and air aggression on the besieged Gaza Strip.
Since dawn hours today, several civilians were killed and others were injured in the continuous bombardment of the occupation air force and its artillery in various parts of the Strip.
Medical sources reported that the bodies of two civilians and seven wounded were recovered from under the rubble of the al-Bana family house in the Daraj neighborhood of Gaza City following an Israeli shelling.
Israeli warplanes also shelled a house belonging to the Yassin family in the Zeitoun District southeast of Gaza City.
Israeli artillery also fired several missiles and opened heavy gunfire targeting the neighborhoods of Tel al-Hawa and Zeitoun in Gaza City.
A civilian was also injured after the occupation artillery targeted an area around Al-Iman Mosque in the Sabra neighborhood south of Gaza City.
Israeli tanks also opened fire near the Shuhada Conjunction in the city, amid the blasts of bombs in the area. The occupation naval boats also fired missiles targeting the al-Shati (Beach) refugee camp, west of Gaza.
Meanwhile, a child was killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting a site north of Rafah in the southern Strip. A civilian was also killed in an Israeli drone attack west of Rafah.
Emergency and rescue crews recovered the bodies of six civilians from under the rubble on Salahuddin Street east of Khan Yunis in the southern Strip.
The occupation warplanes also bombed a house belonging to the Abu Daqqa family in the town of Abasan al-Kabira east of Khan Yunis, which resulted in the killing of two civilians and the injury of others.
The occupation forces further blew up buildings and facilities in the al-Mughraqa area in the center of the Strip and the eastern parts of Khan Yunis.
The Occupation Air Force bombarded a residential tower south of the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Strip, and the area around the Al-Awda school east of the city of Khan Yunis.
The Israeli fighter aircraft launched a series of raids on the town of Bani Suheila east of the city of Khan Yunis, and the vicinity of the Rafah Land Crossing south of the Strip, resulting in a number of casualties.
The rescue and ambulance teams also recovered the bodies of three people from under the rubble of the Al-Farabi school in the town.
Since the onset of the Israeli aggression on October 7, 2023, at least 39,175 civilians, mostly women and children, have been killed and around 90,403 others have been wounded.
Thousands of victims are still trapped under rubble and scattered on the roads and cannot be reached by ambulance and rescue crews.
