Gaza’s children facing dire conditions amid ongoing Israeli attacks, warns UNICEF

NEW YORK, Saturday, July 20, 2024 (WAFA) – The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) has highlighted the dire conditions and health hazards faced by children in Gaza amidst the ongoing Israeli onslaught, now in its ninth month.

In a post on its X account, UNICEF stated, “Skin diseases, unsanitary environments, unending hostilities. Children in Gaza are dealing with overwhelming conditions. A ceasefire is needed now.”

UNICEF reiterated the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire, emphasizing, "A ceasefire is needed now."

Israel continues its aggression on Gaza despite two United Nations Security Council resolutions calling for an immediate ceasefire, and orders from the International Court of Justice to end the invasion of Rafah and take measures to prevent acts of genocide.
