HEBRON, Saturday, July 20 2024 (WAFA) – A Palestinian man was shot and killed by Israeli occupation forces last night in the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, in the south of the West Bank.

Medical sources at the National Hospital in the city of Hebron said that the 20-year-old Ibrahim Hamza Ibrahim Zaqeq was fatally shot by live bullets in the head in Beit Ummar.

Media activist in the town of Beit Ummar, Muhammad Awad, said that confrontations broke out in the town, during which the occupation forces fired live bullets, stun grenades, and poisonous teargas towards residents, resulting in the killing of Zaqeq and causing dozens of suffocation cases among residents due to gas inhalation.

Zaqeq is an ex-detainee who was released from the occupation prisons two weeks ago. He was injured two years ago by occupation bullets.

The national and Islamic factions in Hebron declared general mourning and a comprehensive strike tomorrow.
