At least 17 civilians killed and others injured in Israeli airstrikes on different areas in Gaza

GAZA, Tuesday, July 2 2024 (WAFA) – At least 17 civilians were killed and others were injured in the ongoing Israeli airstrikes that targeted different areas in the Gaza Strip.

Medical sources reported that at least five civilians were killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting a market near al-Shamaa Mosque in the al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.

The occupation warplanes targeted a group of civilians while they were filling water in the vicinity of al-Shamaa Mosque.

Meanwhile, the occupation fighter jets launched a series of raids on various areas in the Gaza Strip, as the raids focused on the city of Rafah and Khan Younis governorate.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said it expects 250,000 people to be forced to flee the city of Khan Younis, even though there is no safe place in Gaza.

The number of civilians killed since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, by land, sea and air, on October 7, 2023, has reached more than 37,900, mostly women and children. Over 87,060 others have been injured.

Thousands of victims remain missing; either buried under the rubble or scattered on the roads, as rescue teams face tremendous difficulties in reaching them.
