GAZA, Tuesday, June 18, 2024 (WAFA) – At least 17 civilians were killed and others were injured today in Israeli airstrikes targeting different areas in the Gaza Strip.
Local sources reported that ambulance crews recovered the bodies of eight people as a result of targeting a home belonging to al-Rai family.
Ambulance and civil crews also recovered the bodies of five others following an Israeli airstrike targeting commercial shops belonging to al-Madhoun family in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.
The occupation warplanes targeted a house belonging to Harb family in the Bureij camp, resulting in the killing of several civilians and causing multiple causalities.
The occupation forces continued their incursion into several areas in the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, amid heavy gunfire and artillery shelling.
Meanwhile, Israeli fighter jets carried out a series of raids on the all-Mughraqa area and the vicinity of the Gaza Valley area, north of the Nuseirat camp, and the eastern area of the city of Deir Al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.
The occupation warplanes also lumched intense airstrikes targeting agricultural land in the vicinity of the Al-Mufti area, north of Nuseirat, and another on the Tal Al-Hawa and Al-Zaytoun neighborhoods in Gaza City.
The number of civilians killed in the Gaza Strip since the start of the occupation’s aggression on October 7, 2023, has risen to 37,347. The number of people injured, mostly children and women, has also increased to 85,372.
