GAZA, Wednesday, June 12, 2024 (WAFA) - Israeli occupation aerial and artillery bombardment on the central blockaded Gaza Strip Wednesday evening killed at least six Palestinians and injured some 20 others, according to local sources.
They said that the occupation warplanes struck a house in central part of al-Bureij refugee camp, killing at least a civilian and injuring several others.
Meanwhile, an Israeli occupation drone targeted a group of civilians in the town of al-Mughraqa in the central Strip, killing five and injuring eight others.
The fatalities and casualties were rushed to al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat, as confirmed by the hospital.
In the meantime, an Israeli airstrike targeted a gathering of civilians in Izbat Beit Hanoun in the northern Strip, killing one and injuring several others.
This came as Israeli artillery shelled civilian houses in al-Mawasi area, north of Rafah, resulting in several casualties.
Tried before the International Court of Justice for genocide against Palestinians, Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza since October 7, killing at least 37,202 Palestinians and injuring over 84,932 others.
Moreover, approximately 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.
Palestinian and international organizations say that the majority of those killed and wounded are women and children.
The Israeli aggression has also resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from all over the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of the displaced forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafah near the border with Egypt – in what has become Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.
