JENIN, Sunday, June 9, 2024 (WAFA) - Israeli occupation forces tonight raided the towns of Arraba and Yabad and the village of Jalbun in the Jenin Governorate, in the northern occupied West Bank, according to security sources.
Sources told WAFA that Israeli forces stormed the town of Arraba, raided several commercial shops, and briefly detained and beat up the owners and several citizens, provoking confrontations.
In Jalbun village, the occupation forces took over the house of Palestinian resident, Emad Yusif al-Khatib, along with their ongoing two-month takeover of a house and a laundromat belonging to another resident, who was identified as Rafiq Abu al-Rub.
The head of Jalbun village council, Ibrahim Abu al-Rub, told WAFA that the villagers suffer daily as a result of the occupation practices, including demolitions, detentions, ongoing raids into houses and the seizure of several homes, erection of barriers, and the prohibition of construction, in addition to the continued ban on farmers’ access to their lands and attacks on residents’ homes with gunfire at the hands of colonists from the nearby illegal colony of Merav.
Forces also stormed the Yabad town southwest of Jenin city, however, no detentions or confrontations were reported.
