SANTIAGO, Sunday, June 9, 2024 (WAFA) – Thousands of demonstrators have gathered in the heart of the Chilean capital, Santiago, in solidarity with people of Palestine and to condemn the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip.

The protesters marched through major streets in Santiago, chanting slogans denouncing the continued aggression and demanding immediate action to press the Israeli occupation to halt its attacks.

Chilean President Gabriel Boric announced earlier this month that his country would join South Africa in its lawsuit against Israel before the International Court of Justice.

On December 29, 2023, South Africa filed a lawsuit against Israel at the International Court of Justice over its involvement in acts of genocide against civilians in the Gaza Strip.

Yesterday, Israeli forces committed a horrific massacre in the Nuseirat refugee camp, resulting in the murder of 210 civilians and the injury of over 400 others. Top of Form
