GAZA, Sunday, June 9, 2024 (WAFA) – At least five Palestinians were killed and several others injured this morning in a series of Israeli airstrikes targeting Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza and the city of Rafah to the south.
Medical sources confirmed the killing of at least three civilians and multiple injuries after Israeli occupation forces targeted a house belonging to the Abu al-Kas family in the Bureij refugee camp.
Simultaneously, two more civilians were killed in an Israeli shelling targeting a group of people in the Tel al-Sultan neighborhood in Rafah, south of the enclave.
Israeli occupation forces have also intensified their aerial and artillery bombardment on the Central Gaza Governorate, a day after committing a horrific massacre in the Nuseirat refugee camp, which claimed the lives of 210 civilians and injured over 400 others.
Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation has been waging a relentless war on Gaza, so far killing 36,801 people, the majority of whom are children and women, and injuring 83,680 others. Thousands more remain trapped under rubble or in the streets.
