BEIRUT, Saturday, June 8, 2024 (WAFA) – Two Lebanese civilians were killed this afternoon in an Israeli airstrike on the town of Aytroun in southern Lebanon.
The Lebanese National News Agency reported that "an Israeli drone carried out an aerial aggression with two guided missiles targeting a café inside a gas station in the town of Aytroun in the Bint Jbeil district."
The airstrike resulted in the killing of the shop owner, Ali Khalil Hamad, 37 years, and the young man Mustafa Issa. Ambulance teams transported their bodies to the Salah Ghandour Hospital in the neighboring town of Bint Jbeil.
The attack caused extensive damage to the shop, gas station, nearby shops, and houses.
Israeli warplanes also conducted airstrikes on the towns of Khiam, Markaba, and Houla, as well as the area between the towns of Majdal Zoun and Jebbayn. Additionally, Israeli artillery shelled the outskirts of the towns of Odeisseh and Yaroun.
