TULKARM, Saturday, June 8, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces Friday evening abducted a Palestinian from Tulkarm refugee camp in the northern occupied West Bank, according to local sources.
They said that special Israeli forces abducted a youth as the latter was on his way to the town of Beit Lid, southeast of Tulkarm.
Meanwhile, the occupation forces barged their way into the towns of Arraba and Ya‘bad, southwest and west of Jenin, triggering confrontations.
The gun-toting soldiers opened live fire towards local youths and the residents’ houses and brutally assaulted a youth.
The young man was rushed to a medical centre in Arraba. There was no information on his health condition.
The occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for "wanted" Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.
These raids, which take place also in areas classified as Areas A under the Oslo Accords, are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.
