UPDATE (2): Six Palestinians injured by live bullets in Nablus-area confrontations

NABLUS, Monday, June 3, 2024 (WAFA) – At least six Palestinians were shot and injured by Israeli forces’ live bullets during confrontations that broke out this evening on the Nablus-Jerusalem Street in Nablus, according to the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS).

PRCS said that an 18-year-old youth was struck and injured by a live gunshot to the shoulder, two men, aged 53 and 25, were hit in the arm, a man was also shot in the shoulder and pelvis area and a 13-year-old teenager was shot in the foot. A forty-two-year-old man was also shot in the pelvis area.

Israeli military jeeps also broke into the eastern part of the city of Nablus from different directions.

The occupation forces intensified their presence in the al-Dahiya neighborhood in Nablus, on Nablus-Jerusalem Street and in the vicinity of the Balata refugee camp. According to sources, forces took over the rooftops of residents’ homes during the raid, spurring confrontations.

Israeli soldiers attacked Palestinians with live bullets, tear gas canisters and stun grenades during the confrontations.

Israeli forces also besieged a wedding hall on Nablus-Jerusalem Street. Sources reported hearing gunshots at the site.
