Israeli colonists set fire to Palestinian lands in Nablus-area village

NABLUS, Sunday, June 2, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists tonight set fire to the lands of the village of Duma, south of Nablus, said a local official.

The head of the Duma Village Council, Suleiman Dawabsha, told WAFA that colonists, under the protection of the occupation forces, set fire to the village lands from the southern side.

The fire was consuming olive fields and crops, he said, stressing that attempts to control the fire were still underway given the inaccessibility to the fire as a result of the Israeli army’s obstruction of access to the sites.

He warned of expected fire damage and severe losses, as civil defense teams were prevented from reaching the affected sites by the occupation forces and colonists.
