RAMALLAH, Sunday, June 2, so24 (WAFA) - The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate denounced the Israeli occupation’s detention of a journalist colleague in WAFA Agency, Rasha Hirzallah, as part of Israel’s increased abuse and targeting of journalists.

The Syndicate said the detention of Hirzallah reveals the occupation’s levels of targeting and persecuting journalists.

It called on the international institutions to shoulder their responsibilities to stop the continued occupation's crimes against Palestinian journalists, including the detentions and killings.

One hundred forty-one​​ journalists have been killed since the start of the Israeli war of genocide on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, while dozens of others are still incarcerated in the occupation’s jails.
