GAZA, Wednesday, May 29, 2027 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces overnight and Sunday detained 15 Palestinians in arrest operations in several areas in the occupied West Bank, local sources confirmed.
The Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) said in a joint statement that the arrest operations took place across the governorates of Jenin, Hebron, Bethlehem, and Nablus, and were accompanied by widespread sabotage and destruction of Palestinian civilians’ homes.
The statement added that in addition to that, the occupation forces detained siblings from Gaza residing in Ramallah’s Beitunia, adding that no more details were possible to know about their arrest.
The total number of Palestinians arrested in the occupied West Bank has risen to over 8,985 since October 7, 2023. This figure includes individuals apprehended from their homes, at military checkpoints, those who surrendered under duress, and those taken hostage.
These statistics cover both those who remain in detention and those who have been subsequently released.
