BETHLEHEM, Thursday, May 23, 2024 (WAFA) – The Israeli occupation forces seized about six dunums of land from the villages of Nahalin and Al-Jabaa in the Bethlehem Governorate, under pretext of orders for military and security purposes, which bore the number T/24/27, the head of the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Moayed Shaaban, said on Thursday.
Shaaban added, in a statement issued by the Commission, that this military order is considered a new practical implementation of the buffer zones plan proposed by the extremist occupation finance minister, Bezalel Smotrich, at the beginning of the aggression on the Gaza Strip, which aims to seize tens of dunums of land around the settlements, and prevent access to hundreds of dunums of land surrounding them,, which will deprive Palestinians of access to, reclamation and care for their lands.
He stressed that this measure targets the lands surrounding the illegal Giv'ot colony, which was established on the lands of the village of Nahalin.
Shaaban called on Palestinians to go to the Commission’s office in Bethlehem Governorate in order to set up a legal file that would thwart the Israeli occupation plan and undermine the Israeli efforts to seize more lands.
