JENIN, Wednesday, May 22, 2024 (WAFA) – Two Palestinians Wednesday evening succumbed to their wounds sustained by Israeli occupation gunfire in the northern West Bank city of Jenin, bringing the death toll in the city and its camp to 10.
Fawaz Hammad, Director of al-Razi Hospital, told WAFA that 18-year-old Sami Amin Ahmad al-Qaisi, 18, a resident of Jenin, died of the wounds he suffered as a result of being shot by Israeli army gunfire in the course of the assault, which began in the early hours of Tuesday.
Meanwhile, 16-year-old Mahmoud Fares Qreini also succumbed to his wounds sustained from Israeli army gunfire, as confirmed by the Health Ministry.
According to eyewitnesses, Qreini was shot in the thigh at the yard of a house where he along with a friend sought shelter after being chased by Israeli soldiers, and they described his killing as assassination.
They confirmed that the gun-toting soldiers surrounded the house, shot Qreini and his friend at zero-point blank range, leaving them to bleed to death. They prevented an ambulance from approaching the scene.
