TULKARM, Tuesday, May 21, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces today installed a metal barrier at the 'Einav military checkpoint, east of the northern occupied West Bank city of Tulkarm, according to local sources.

They said that the occupation forces erected an iron gate at the 'Einav checkpoint, located at the eastern entrance to ‘Anabta, obstructing the movement of vehicles in and out of Tulkarm and forcing drivers and passengers to take long alternative routes to reach their homes or workplaces.

Meanwhile, the occupation forces sealed off the al-Hamra checkpoint, which separates the northern Jordan Valley from the West Bank cities.

Israeli severely restricts Palestinians’ freedom of movement through a complex combination of over 100 fixed checkpoints, flying checkpoints, settler-only roads and various other physical obstructions.

Closures besides to other measures, taken under the guise of security, are intended to entrench Israel’s 57-year-old military occupation of the West Bank and its settler colonial project which it enforces with routine and frequently deadly violence against Palestinians.
