RAMALLAH, Tuesday, May 21, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces Monday evening and dawn Tuesday detained at least 15 Palestinians from various parts of the occupied West Bank, according to the Commission of the Detainees and the Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestine Prisoner’s Society (PPS).
They said that the occupation forces rounded up at least 15 Palestinians, with the majority of the detainees coming from the West Bank district of Ramallah, Nablus, Tubas, and Jerusalem.
The prisoners' institutions added that the military raids were accompanied by assaults against civilians, threats against detainees and their families, the destruction and vandalism of Palestinian properties and field investigations.
According to the Commission and PPS, the occupation forces have detained over 8815 Palestinians since October 7, 2023. This figure includes Palestinians who were detained from their houses, at checkpoints, were forced to turn themselves in under pressure, or were held as hostages.
The prisoners’ institutions warned in previous statements against the Israeli occupation's continued crime of enforced disappearance committed against Gaza detainees who were detained after October 7, 2023.
