RAFAH, Saturday, May 18, 2024 (WAFA) – At least three Palestinian civilians were killed and several others injured this evening in an Israeli airstrike on a residential apartment in the heart of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip, according to local sources.

The sources reported that emergency response and rescue teams recovered the remains of three victims from the rubble of a residential apartment in the Abu Hashem building in the downtown area of Rafah, after the apartment had been bombed by Israeli warplanes.

Earlier today, three civilians, including children, were killed in an Israeli airstrike on the eastern neighborhood of Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza, according to local sources.

The sources reported that Israeli warplanes targeted a group of people in the eastern area of the camp, resulting in the killing of three civilians and injuring dozens more, including children.

The ongoing Israeli onslaught on Gaza since October 7 has resulted so far in at least 35,386 documented Palestinian fatalities, with an additional 79,366 individuals sustaining injuries, according to the local health authorities. The majority of the victims are women and children.
