GAZA, Saturday, April 6, 2024 (WAFA) – As the vicious aggression against Gaza entered its 183rd day today, scores of Palestinians were killed and injured on Saturday in a series of Israeli airstrikes in various areas of the Gaza Strip, according to local sources.
They said that Israeli warplanes bombed various areas to the west of the city of Kahn Younes and targeted a gathering of people near the Turkish slaughterhouse, killing and injuring scores.
This came as Israeli artillery fire targeted the Zaytoun neighbourhood of Gaza as well as the southern neighbourhoods of the city.
Currently on trial before the International Court of Justice for genocide against Palestinians, Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza since October 7, killing at least 33,137 Palestinians and injuring over 75,815 others.
Moreover, at least 7,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.
Palestinian and international organizations say that the majority of those killed and wounded are women and children.
The Israeli aggression has also resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from all over the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of the displaced forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafah near the border with Egypt – in what has become Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.
