GAZA, Monday, March 18, 2024 (WAFA) – Dozens of Palestinian civilians were killed and injured earlier on Monday following an Israeli bombing of the Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza City, medical sources confirmed.

They said that a fire broke out at the gate of Al-Shifa Medical Complex, causing several suffocation cases among displaced women and children in the hospital, during the occupation forces' raid into the hospital before completely besieging it, coinciding with cutting off communications for about 30,000 displaced people inside Al-Shifa.

The sources added that the occupation forces stormed the Specialized Surgery Building and the Emergency Reception Building in Building 8, and opened fire directly at anyone who moved.

The medical teams were unable to save the injured due to the intensity of the fire as the occupation forces targeted everyone who approached the windows.

Local sources said that the occupation forces detained dozens of citizens from inside Al-Shifa Medical Complex.
