AMMAN, Saturday, February 10, 2024 (WAFA) – The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has warned about the potential danger of an Israeli military offensive in the densely overcrowded city of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip.
The ministry's spokesperson, Ambassador Sufyan Qudah, reiterated the Kingdom's absolute rejection of the displacement of Palestinians within or outside their land.
He emphasized the urgent need to end the war in the Gaza Strip and achieve a ceasefire that ensures the protection of civilians, their return to their homes, and the delivery of aid throughout the Strip.
Ambassador Al-Qudah called on the international community to fulfill its responsibilities and take immediate and effective action to prevent Israel from continuing its escalated war, which has caused an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.
He stressed the need for the United Nations Security Council to fulfill its responsibilities promptly to prevent a dangerous deterioration and ensure an immediate cessation of hostilities.
