AMMAN, Wednesday, January 10, 2024 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas arrived today in the Jordanian city of Aqaba to participate in the tripartite Jordanian-Egyptian-Palestinian summit.
During the tripartite summit, the President is scheduled to meet with King Abdullah II of Jordan and Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi.
The summit is meant to discuss ways to stop the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people everywhere, mainly in the Gaza Strip.
It also aims to bring in humanitarian aid into Gaza as quickly as possible, as well as to unify efforts to confront plans to displace the Palestinian people.
President Abbas is accompanied by Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Liberation Organization, Hussein al-Sheikh, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Riyad Al-Maliki, and Head of the General Intelligence Service, Major General Majed Faraj.
