Israeli occupation forces raze six dunums of privately-owned Palestinian land near Hebron

HEBRON, Wednesday, January 10, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces today razed six dunums of privately-owned Palestinian land in Tel Rumeida neighborhood in the center of Hebron, according to a local activist.

The mayor of Hebron, Tayseer Abu Sneineh, said that army bulldozers razed six dunams of privately-owned land, which is planted with 50 olive trees and owned by the municipality, in preparation for seizing it.

Forces also installed an iron gate at the entrance of the said land.

Abu Sneineh condemned such step, which he said will lead to the Judaization of the heart of the old city of Hebron.

He considered this step as a dangerous indicator, noting that the municipality is following up on the case legally.

He called on the international community to stand up for its responsibilities and thwart the occupation’s plans aimed at Judaizing Hebron.
