RAMALLAH, Wednesday, January 10, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli occuaption forces Wednesday detained 26 Palestinians from several areas across the occupied West Bank, sources confirmed.
According to the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs, the majority of the detainees are from Bethlehem and Ramallah, where two former prisoners, one of whom is a cancer patient, while the rest are from Tulkarm, Tubas, Hebron, Jenin and Nablus.
It pointed out that the detention campagin are accompanied by widespread abuse, severe beatings, and threats against detainees and their families, in addition to widespread destruction of citizens’ homes, and the confiscation of vehicles and money.
The total number of detainees has risen since October 7 to more than 5,780, targeting all groups, including former detainees, the sick, and the elderly.
