NABLUS/BETHLEHEM, Saturday, November 18, 2023 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation soldiers and colonists today attacked Palestinians harvesting their olive crops and forced them to leave their lands.
In the northern West Bank village of Burin, south of Nablus, colonists, backed by soldiers, attacked olive harvesters and stole their crops and the tools they used in the harvest, according to local sources.
Soldiers also forced olive pickers in the village of al-Sawiyeh, south of Nablus, to stop the harvest and leave their lands, according to the head of the village council Mahmoud Hasan.
He told WAFA that the soldiers threw tear gas canisters at landowners picking their olives in the eastern part of the village, and prevented them from proceeding in their work forcing them to leave their land.
In the villages of Kisan and Nahalin in the south of the West Bank, soldiers raided the two villages and prevented farmers from picking their olive crops, according to Hasan Breijieh, from the Wall and Colonies Resistance Commission.
He said the soldiers raided the area north of Nahalin while shooting in the area to force the farmers to leave their lands, and warned them against returning to them.
In the village of Kisan, the soldiers also prevented landowners from picking their olives in their lands located near illegal colonies.
