RAMALLAH, Monday, November 13, 2023 (WAFA) - The Israeli occupation forces prevented residents of Khirbet Jabait, northeast of Ramallah, from returning to their homes, today said Omran Abu Alia, one of the residents of the community.
The Israeli occupation soldiers forced the 30-person-strong community of Khirbet Jabait to forcibly leave it on October 8.
However, when the residents attempted to return to their homes days after they were forced to leave them, the occupation soldiers fired live bullets at them, forcing them to return to the area to which they were displaced near al-Mughayyir village, Abu Alia told WAFA.
He said that last night, the occupation forces seized tents and sheds in Khirbet Jabait, and destroyed solar panels, pointing out that his family has lived in the area since the 1940s, and relies on livestock grazing and agriculture for a living but has been facing repeated attacks from colonists for years.
