Earlier today, a large-scale Israeli army force accompanied by heavy military bulldozers stormed the Jenin refugee camp from several directions, with snipers mounting the rooftops of a number of buildings overlooking the camp. The Israeli army bulldozers also destroyed some of the streets and infrastructure in the refugee camp and its surroundings.
Violent confrontations erupted following the Israeli raid, resulting in the death of at least 14 Palestinians and the wounding of more than 20 others with live bullets, some of whom were in critical condition.
The death toll is expected to rise, according to medical sources, as many of the wounded individuals are in critical condition.
Eyewitnesses explained that the occupation forces surrounded the Jenin Government Hospital at times during the raid, opening fire on everything that moved, including ambulances.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCC) pointed out that the Israeli occupation forces targeted an ambulance in Jenin and wounded one of its officers with a bullet to the back, preventing medical teams from entering the camp to reach the injured.
