RAMALLAH, Monday, November 6, 2023 (WAFA) – The Israeli occupation forces today detained at least 70 Palestinians in raids at the homes throughout the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, including three women, raising the total detained since October 7 to 2150, according to the Palestinian Prisoners Commission and the Prisoner’s Society.
They said the soldiers detained one woman in Ramallah, whose husband is in prison, and another from the town of Dura, in the Hebron district.
They also detained Ahed Tamimi at her home in Nabi Saleh village, near Ramallah. Tamimi is a student at Birzeit University and a known anti-occupation activist since she was a child.
In Qalqilya, the soldiers detained a 60-year-old man and his son.
More than 20 people were also rounded up during a raid of Shufat refugee camp and nearby Anata town, northeast of Jerusalem, including the media advisor for the Jerusalem Governorate, Marouf Rifai.
The forces raided at least 15 homes in these two areas, according to local sources.
The soldiers detained eight people in the Hebron governorate, and eight others in Nablus governorate where one person was shot and injured by a live bullet, as well as from various other West Bank areas.
