HEBRON, Saturday, November 4, 2023 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation soldiers shot and injured eight people during confrontations in the town of Beit Ummar in the south of the West Bank, according to a local activist.
Mohammad Awad, an activist, told WAFA that soldiers raided Beit Ummar leading to confrontations with the local residents during which the soldiers opened live fire and shot tear gas canisters at the residents, hitting eight people with live bullets in the lower limbs, who were taken to hospital for treatment.
The soldiers broke into homes, shops and mosques, ransacked them and placed Israeli flags on the roofs of buildings in a provocative manner.
The soldiers also removed posters of town residents murdered by Israeli soldiers, set them on fire, and warned people against putting pictures of their sons killed by the soldiers in their homes.
