Child injured by Israeli gunfire in Al-Bireh

RAMALLAH, Friday, October 27, 2023 (WAFA) – A 14-year-old Palestinian child was injured this afternoon during confrontations with Israeli occupation forces at the northern entrance of the city of Al-Bireh in the central occupied West Bank, according to medical sources.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that the child sustained a gunshot wound to the foot during the confrontations that followed a march denouncing the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip. The injured child was promptly transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Israeli occupation forces have been maintaining the closure of the military checkpoint located at the entrance of Al-Bireh in both directions, effectively preventing the movement of Palestinian citizens through the checkpoint.

Meantime in Hebron, south of the West Bank, a young Palestinian man suffered fractures and contusions today as a result of an assault by Israeli occupation forces shortly after his arrest at the Beit Awwa military checkpoint.
