GAZA, Friday, October 27, 2023 (WAFA) - Dozens of innocent Palestinian civilians, including children, were killed and many more injured in a series of Israeli airstrikes over the last night across the Gaza Strip, as the Israeli aggression on the territory enters its 21st day.

Israeli occupation warplanes launched a series of airstrikes on residential areas in Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip, resulting in the murder of ten civilians, including a journalist, and multiple injuries. The Israeli aerial attacks also targeted a mosque in Gaza City, leading to further casualties.

At least four civilians were also confirmed killed and others were injured in an Israeli airstrike which targeted a house in Khan Yunis refugee camp.

WAFA correspondent reported that Israeli warplanes struck the Abu Namous family home in Khan Yunis, killing journalist Yaser Abu Namous and his mother.

Simultaneously, another airstrike hit the Abu Shahma family residence in the Ma'an area, east of Khan Yunis, claiming the lives of five innocent civilians and injuring several more.

Additionally, Israeli airstrikes hit the Al-Alami family home along the al-Mashroo' road to the west of Khan Yunis, resulting in the murder of two individuals and numerous injuries.

A fourth strike also targeted the Mohsen family residence in Old Crescent Street in the Al-Amal neighborhood of Khan Yunis, leading to one fatality and several injuries.

Earlier in the night, Israeli warplanes targeted a mosque in the Shati refugee camp, west of Gaza City. The strikes led to the complete destruction of the Al-Abyad Mosque, with a number of casualties reported.

Meantime, residential buildings near the Shati refugee camp were also hit by artillery fire. The relentless shelling by Israeli occupation forces has further exacerbated the already dire humanitarian situation in the region.

Since the start of the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people on the 7th of this month, the death toll has risen to over 7,000 civilians, including approximately 3,000 children and 2,000 women.

Additionally, more than 18,500 people have been injured, and nearly 2,000 missing individuals are believed to be trapped under the rubble across Gaza.
