Premier says immediate halt of Israeli genocide campaign a top priority

RAMALLAH, Thursday, October 26, 2023 (WAFA) – Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh and his Jordanian counterpart, Bisher Khasawneh, held a crucial phone conversation today that discussed the grave situation in the occupied Palestinian territories.

They discussed the ongoing genocide campaign being carried out these days by the Israeli occupation and settlers against the Palestinian people in the occupied West Bank and the Gaza Strip.

Shtayyeh emphasized the top priority of immediately halting the Israeli genocide campagin and ensuring the establishment of safe corridors for the delivery of humanitarian aid, including food, medicine, and fuel, as well as the restoration of water and electricity services.

He expressed deep appreciation for the unwavering support provided by King Abdullah II and the Jordanian government since the onset of the Israeli aggression, regarding it as an exemplary manifestation of the strong brotherly relationship and solidarity between the two nations.  

In response, the Jordanian Prime Minister underscored the importance of ongoing cooperation between the two brotherly nations to confront common challenges. He affirmed Jordan's readiness to provide urgent assistance to the Palestinian government and people in the form of food and medicine to help them navigate through this crisis.
