RAMALLAH, Thursday, October 26, 2023 (WAFA) – Around 100 Palestinians were detained this morning in Israeli army raids at their homes across the occupied territories, including a young girl detained in East Jerusalem’s Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood for posting on social media.
In addition to the girl, the army detained 12 people from the town of Biddo, northwest of Jerusalem.
In the Ramallah and al-Bireh governorate, the army detained 17 people from the village of Kubar, in addition to others from Arora, al-Mughayyer, and al-Bireh city.
The army also detained 14 people from different villages and towns in the Bethlehem governorate.
At least 30 people, including five women, one of them the journalist Luma Khater, were detained in the Hebron governorate.
In Jenin’s village of Sanour, the army detained four people, including the wife of a prisoner and her father.
Seven were also detained in the northern West Bank governorate of Nablus and in the village of Marda, in the Salfit governorate.
The Palestinian Prisoner's Society said Israel detained 1460 Palestinians in the West Bank since October 7, not including the hundreds of workers from the Gaza Strip who were brought to the West Bank after the aggression and later detained.
