RAMALLAH, Monday, October 23, 2023 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas met this evening with the Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah, where they discussed the latest developments in the Palestinian arena and the ongoing efforts to stop the Israeli aggression against Palestinians and spare them the scourge of war.
The president affirmed during the meeting the importance of bringing food as well as relief and medical supplies into the Strip and providing it with water and electricity as soon as possible.
The president affirmed Palestine’s absolute rejection of the displacement of the Palestinian people, whether in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, or Jerusalem.
He stressed that security solutions do not create peace and that peace and security are achieved through the recognition of the state of Palestine and the implementation of the two-state solution, which encompasses the entire lands of the state of Palestine in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip.
For his part, The Dutch Prime Minister affirmed his country’s commitment to the two-state solution, stating that his country will continue working toward achieving peace and supporting the Palestinian National Authority.
