More than 120 Palestinians rounded up by Israeli occupation forces in the occupied territories

RAMALLAH, Monday, October 23, 2023 (WAFA) – The Israeli occupation forces continued today to detain dozens of Palestinians in the occupied territories with reports saying more than 120 people were rounded up, mostly in raids at their homes, bringing the total detained since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7 to 1215 Palestinians.

In the southern West Bank governorate of Hebron, where most of the recent detentions took place, the Israeli occupation forces detained 59 persons, including 40 workers from the Gaza Strip who were kicked out of their work in Israel following the Israeli aggression on Gaza and brought to the West Bank.

In the Ramallah governorate, the army detained 27 people, most of them from Jalazone refugee camp, where the army shot and killed two people and injured six others during the raid, and from the town of Beit Rima, including a university professor.

In Jericho, nine people were detained, including a doctor who works at Jericho Hospital.

In the Bethlehem governorate, 12 people were rounded up from various villages and refugee camps.

Four were also detained in the Jenin district, three, all in their 50s, in the Tulkarm area, and six in Nablus city and area towns and villages.

The Palestinian Prisoner's Society said the Israeli occupation forces detained since October 7 more than 1215 people in raids at their homes across the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.
