RAMALLAH, Saturday, October 14, 2023 (WAFA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Riyad al-Maliki, has initiated a series of communications with his counterparts around the world to address the devastating Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and the ensuing genocide and displacement in the territory.
Over the past two days, Minister Maliki has been in contact with several of his counterparts in Europe, Asia, and Latin America. The primary objective of these communications is to halt the Israeli aggression in Gaza and prevent the ongoing genocide committed by the occupying Israeli state against the Palestinian people, aimed at their displacement.
Minister Maliki has urged his counterparts to exert pressure on Israel to cease its aggression and to fulfill their responsibilities in protecting the lives of Palestinian civilians in Gaza. He called for compelling Israel to abide by international law, international humanitarian law, and its duties as an occupying state.
The Foreign Minister also called upon his counterparts to condemn the Israeli aggression and murder of Palestinian civilians while depriving them of their basic humanitarian needs.
He urged his counterparts to allow their people to freely voice their condemnation of the crimes committed by Israel against children and women, emphasizing the importance of denouncing the destruction of schools and homes, as well as the forced displacement of Palestinian citizens as part of Israel's policy of ethnic cleansing and genocide.
