GAZA, Thursday, October 12, 2023 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation fighter jets launched a series of airstrikes this evening targeting more than 8 residential towers housing 352 apartments in the Intelligence Towers area, located in the northwest of Gaza City. The relentless bombardment left all of these structures reduced to piles of rubble and dust, displacing their residents.

WAFA correspondent, citing residents from the Intelligence Towers area, reported that Israeli warplanes destroyed a minimum of 8 residential towers with a total of 352 apartments, along with over 40 houses and other residential buildings. The attack was carried out with brutal shelling, using thousands of tons of explosives and missiles that struck the region.

In the wake of the devastating airstrikes, hundreds of families were forced to evacuate their homes, searching for shelter in the war-torn Gaza Strip, already suffering from the absence of basic necessities such as water, electricity, and food supplies under Israel's all-out blockade.

Meantime, rescue teams managed to recover the lifeless bodies of two individuals, including a young girl, from the debris of a home that was struck with missiles by Israeli occupation forces in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.

WAFA correspondent said civil defense and rescue teams are grappling with the challenging task of saving the injured who remain trapped beneath the rubble. Their efforts are further complicated by the continuous and relentless Israeli airstrikes targeting all regions of Gaza.

Israeli fighter jets, artillery, and naval vessels continue to unleash their fierce onslaught on all of the Gaza Strip. The most intense shelling has been concentrated in the northwestern part of the territory since the early hours of the morning. Hundreds of tons of explosives have caused widespread destruction and created an environment reminiscent of an earthquake.
