RAMALLAH, Sunday, October 8, 2023 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas phoned today member of the Fatah Central Committee and Commissioner of Mobilization and Organization in the Southern Governorates, Ahmed Helles, to follow up on the situation in the Gaza Strip, in light of the ongoing Israeli aggression.

During the phone call, President Abbas reaffirmed the right of the Palestinian people to defend themselves and protect their children from the aggression of the occupation, stressing the necessity of providing all possible medical and humanitarian needs for the people in the Gaza Strip.

He also stressed the need to protect the national front and strengthen national cohesion in the face of the challenges resulting from the continued Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in all their locations, including in Jerusalem, the Gaza Strip, and the West Bank.
